Parade School
Love my local bakery, as they always seem to have fliers that I’m interested in. I found one today for something called “parade school” happening in Baltimore (Towson, actually) from June 3-7:
Nana Project’s Parade School is an advanced training program for artists and community organizers interested in the artistry of community based parades…
This year Parade School will feature expanded programming including Parade Logistics, Parade Choreography, Large Puppet Making, Push Floats, Networking Opportunities, Inspiring Guest Lecture Series and so much more.
The whole thing is $450 bucks though, which is well out of my price range at this point, but it does mention something about scholarships on their main page, so I’ll be emailing them soon to explore that opportunity.
I also uncovered a connection to a local marching band recently, though I have yet to talk to anyone from it. Lots of things coming together right now!
