Aikido Photoshop [Business Idea]

Late last night, my mind got to rambling and connected together some nice things which give me some hope for the future of technology. Take for instance martial arts, particular the “soft” martial arts, which rely on slow, precise movements of your body and which make heavy use of standardized forms and patterns of movement. Connect that to something like Nintendo’s Wii Fit platform, and their general sensitivity towards body-centric interfaces. Mix in some of the crazy futuristic interface from the Minority Report movie, and then imagine you’re doing something productive with all this crazy technology. I’ve spent a lot of time using graphics programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, so that was my base vision for how these things could all thread together.
And it would go something like this: create a fully-immersive physical interface for a technological environment which would allow the user to develop the same sets of skills, physical discipline and multi-modal self-mastery while they are simultaneously performing productive tasks for a business environment. That would turn graphic designers (or programmers, video-editors, or what-have-you) into something like Aikido or Tai Chi masters, who use their bodies and precise movements to perform complex productive computer tasks, which allow them to harmonize themselves with their environments and achieve inner peace…
