Heart’s Place Homeless Shelter Benefit Concert
Just wanted to cross-promote for Caleb Stine’s upcoming show this weekend, which I’ll be attending:

And from his website:
Saturday, June 7th, 6pm
On June 7th, the forth annual Hard Hittin’ Songs for Hard Hit People benefit concert will bring the music of Lafayette Gilchrist, Caleb Stine and The Brakemen, Walker and Jay, The 5th L, and Ben Hartlage to Heart’s Place Homeless Shelter in a celebration of the shelters’ work and an effort to raise money for its future. For over twenty years Heart’s Place has operated in the basement of St. John’s Church in Charles Village, offering food and shelter for some of Baltimore’s thousands of homeless residents. Guests refer to Heart’s Place as the ‘Hilton’ of the homeless shelters because of the respectful, supportive staff and comfort they offer. Doors open at 6pm. Music starts at 7pm. St. John’s Church. 2640 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD 21218 Tickets are $7 suggested donation at the door.
This is the same “2640 space” where they held the Radical Book Fair a few months back, and it’s a great venue - nevermind the great charitable work done at St. John’s. I’ve also heard from various people that Walker & Jay put on a great show as well, so I’m looking forward to it all around.
