Visible Horoscopes In The Night Sky
I had that experience again which I had late last summer while in an altered state: one in which my eyes do this sort of weird thing with focus. I don’t know if they go lazy or cross or something, but when I use this soft focus on the evening moon in a certain way, I end up seeing these like fragmentary overlaid images which are different depending on the moon phase and planetary configurations in the night sky.
In this instance, we’re about three days off from the Full Moon, I think (I’ve been tracking it). So what I saw, with my eyes mind you, was this sort of multi-planar visual of the “regular” moon, with this other - I don’t know if this is the right word but - “etheric moon” or something off to the left and kind of like in front, but not quite. It was dimmer and the whole thing reminded me of when you’re at the eye doctor and they keep rotating in lenses, overlaying them against one another. It almost looked like that, like multiple layers of moon or densities of moonness™ which were all rotating in together to form in a few days time the full moon reunion tour. Something like that…
It’s one of those fuzzy things that can happen that’s hard to put into words. I don’t know or claim that it’s some kind of “real” thing that exists out there in the world, or if its simply some perceptual trick you can experience…
Weird though.

Doesn’t Steiner or somebody or other who Pinchbeck used to quote a lot talk about some kind of weirdo alternate moon that like eats souls or something?
I feel like this is an appropriate time and subject matter connection on some level for the snake skin medicine pouch I’m making.

Nodes of the moon are much more important in Vedic astrology than in Western Astrology. It does have something to do with Karma etc.
You had a short article a long time ago about the Chinese sending something to the moon. I think it had to do with harvesting organs but that may heva been another article.
I’ve also heard that the path traced out by the lunar nodes is the spiritual boundary limit/cage keeping humans from venturing out into space.

What is a lunar node?

They’re imaginary points along the path the Moon takes in the sky. Astronomically associated w/ecilpses. Karmically associated w/attachments.

This is a good overview of Rahu and Ketu.

This has an example of a Vedic (Lunar) horoscope.

It was Gurdjieff who had ideas about soul eating beings on the moon, although I do not know if Pinchbeck ever referred to him.
I always took it as a reference to being your own light, and not trying to reflect someone else’s. Similar to what Krishnamurti ist alking about here:
Being is fearless and does not depend on anything outside itself; hence it does not cast a shadow.

Sorry, meant to include a link to the whole Krishnamurti article.
