I agree. I should’ve qualified my post by adding that I’ve read quite a few current “we are doomed” prophesies that seemed to me to be fabricated illusions designed to bring on the very doom they were describing.

I got the impression they were like propaganda movies being broadcast into people’s heads while they slept to serve someone’s agenda.

My impression is that true prophesies are designed to warn or to provide relief. Spiritual intervention can reverse the trend and blind belief can bring it on.

My father had a strange dream involving a teddy bear that was being burned up. He felt that the bear was the USA and he had been asked by God to “Stand in the Gap” and pray for forgiveness. He felt he had been successful too but he had no idea what had been averted.

I know this is impossible to prove but several years after he told me this story I saw a news report about a military plane crash that happened years before. When it was initially reported the story was that the pilot was hot dogging and realized that he was going to crash into buildings so he took the plane into a dive that would kill him and the crew but save the civilians.

The follow up news story was that the plane he had been hot dogging in had nuclear bombs on board. Blam, out of knowhere I knew this had a connection to my Dad’s teddy bear dream. ???? I won’t argue with anyone who tells me I’m stupid for believing that but there was no reason for me remembering that and I had never tried to explain or even understand my Dad’s dream in any way.
