    And Chavez may be a joke but they supply a third of the oil to the united states and can hit us pretty hard if they wanted to.

    Were sending a warship to the Black Sea so Russia is sending one to our neck of the woods to prove that they’ve still got it. The right wing went realy goofy when Russia went into Georgia because they thought they had their old demon back.

    Georgia was almost admitted to NATO. If they had been we would be obligated to go to war with Russia. One of McCain’s top advisors was also a lobbyist to the president of Georgia.

    So that means McCain is going to win, because his interests are already being acted out on the world stage. He also was, for a while, “acting more presidential” - basically the same thing that Ratzinger was doing before JP2 died, pretty much being the de facto pope.

    But I’m really just saying that for effect, at this point…
