The phrase “shamanic states” was in the title of that last post, which got me thinking along the lines of “state” as a political entity: like the United Shamanic States of America - that sort of thing. But on a more serious level, what if we had the publically-available technology (ha!) to achieve any possible “state” of consciousness? What if people within each state of consciousness formed spiritualegal™ and other unions which were unto themselves sovereign systems of government, ethics and culture?
