That I call my external hard-drive “VALIS” and that I sort of see it as almost some kind of like ancestral data pool, versus the more personalized storage held locally? Cause I think that’s the direction this stuff is all going, ultimately with shit like immortal computing. You may have all your ancestors stored on a shared server with your brothers and sisters.

    Then there’s the added dimension of what’s stored online on this domain as information which is retrieveable to me, versus information stored on major apps I use online, like Gmail and Google Search, versus my information trails sideways through hyperspace subwexes and cookie formulations.
