Turbulent Stasis

Been living with this feeling for quite a long time, but as events in the Real World have been catching up to the so-called “Psychic Apocalypse” I’ve been feeling it even more keenly because I see it reflected back to me in the behavior and attitudes of other people. Namely, why should you engage “the system” in certain basic, essential ways when by all accounts, it appears as though the global system is tearing itself to bits. Did you read the one about “tens of thousands” of Australians not being able to access their bank accounts? Do you think such problems will be contained or cascade? I wanted to write a novel, the plot of which was a person putting off living their life and doing all kinds of things they wanted to until until things stabilized. They kept expecting an identifiable peak to hit and pass, after which action would be obvious and lasting decisions would be made. Maybe no such thing will ever happen in our time-line. How do you survive and thrive, meanwhile, in a turbulent world - quite possibly on the brink of ruin? How can you plan for the future at the End of Time?

Just so you know this is the reason a lot of overweight people give for not living their dream. Their waiting to lose the weight.
