Why the obsession with time travel?

Simple: it’s a fun and escapist way of looking at history and the present moment. As things grind steadily downward economically, I think we’re going to be looking at some pretty cool escapist, fantastic and romantic art and fiction. You can already see it blossoming with this first wave of New American Apocalypse chic™ movies. Noise music is a sign of the End Times.
