Speaking of labor issues, I’ve been actively trying to track down a real live human being who is a member of the local Baltimore chapter of the union for stagehands and theatre workers. If you are a member reading this or know someone who is a member who would be open to filling me in on some details of how this all works, please email me. I’ve been using my network of contacts and gathering information from people here and there, but I’d like to have a more formal overview of the whole thing and find out if it’s the right direction for me to head in. I’ve been doing theatrical carpentry work since this summer, have been enjoying it a great deal, and am looking to expand my skills and experience.
