I’ve always thought one of the most significant important moments of the X-Files television TV show ((Chris Carter)) was when it was revealed to whomever (don’t remember) that Mulder had entrusted to some Native American - I think Navajo ((Wind-Talkers, cryptology)) - medicine man shaman ((druid, bard)) the contents of a sensitive disk ((ad:memory devices,theme:retro)) full of government conspiracy-type information. Anyway, one of those things that blew my mind at the time: that a human being of proper training and experience could memorize as much, or potentially more hard data ((mentat)) than what we now use computers to store for us.
