If the nationstate collapses, and the economy is forced to stick closer to home, we’re all going to have to be craftsmen, in one way or another.
This is what we should be doing, regardless of what happens. The key question in a capitalist society which returns to that sort of aesthetic becomes: who’s going to sell us the tools to make those crafts and small home based sustainable networked industries function?
