This is what we should be doing, regardless of what happens. The key question in a capitalist society which returns to that sort of aesthetic becomes: who's going to sell us the tools to make those crafts and small home based sustainable networked industries function?</description>

(and this is a good example of why the reverse ordering of the tumblr day grouping is annoying.  the page that links to should be read from the bottom up...)

I think this ties in with John Robb's Resilient Communities as well:
