Makes me think you could put together urban shamanism exercises and rituals as YouTube theatrical mini-productions, where the online shaman leads some sort of ceremony with magical props, drumming and chanting, and there would be spaces left in the video where the watcher/participant/congregant would fill in with their own vocalizations, call & response refrains, etc. You could have a separate “key” video for each ritual, which has the video and audio of what and where you’re supposed to say, do, sing, clap, vocalize something, respond etc. Then you could just “train” by practicing with the user key vids, until you “get it” enough to go back to the actual full-on ritual video, and then you participate in it with the appropriate participant response pattern, giving you a feeling like you’re acting as part of the actual ritual: sort of like a poor man’s excuse for virtual reality or something.

Each ritual video would be for a specific purpose: healing, cleansing, protection, naming, undoing, etc. Stuff like that. And you would be able to see the “power” of a particular online ritual spell program based on how much “manna” it has acquired from its users.

Associated with such a concept, you could also have blocks of related imagery and media reference points which automatically download into some kind of digital foyer area, which the person upon whom the doctoring is being done done could browse and integrate into their digital lifestream at their leisure. Being “bathed” in these files would somehow entrain their perceptual system to begin filtering their experience reality in some new way, to reveal steps towards the actualization of one’s intent (intent/action harmony).

Useful product applications: Image sets, file bundles, reference point codon memeplexes; autonomous data recovery agents… Programs to sort and manage complex sets of data around associative, ritualized, symbolic purposes, actions and patterns of intent manifesting in the world. Lots and lots of spreadsheets! Egads! Hand-made costumes, ritual objects, games and educational tools based on offshoots of the concepts.
