Specifically, wouldn’t it be cool to have software which allowed you to see out of someone else’s eyes via your monitor and hear what they are hearing through their ears. Eavesdropping into other people’s worlds, but not to monitor or surveill them – to experience what it’s like to be them from the inside out!

Halfway like this movie. It wasn’t very good, kind of a relic before it’s release, I’m not sure why though.
