1) Spent about thirty minutes squatting on the floor, burning sage and listening to the various non-English prayer files I’ve been downloading and listening to “religiously” (sorry, couldn’t resist the pun!). Been finding them very helpful as on-going energetic/frequency anchor points. Particularly like the Jewish cantoring stuff that I have found, and the curandero icaros (plant spirit songs) from the Amazon. Some good Buddhist chanting and Greek Orthodox spoken prayers as well. My conclusion is that listening to sun prayers - especially in other languages - is extremely comforting. Almost feel like I’m starting to understand some of the Hebrew here and there. During today’s listening session, I also put on the CB transceiver to channel 19 (mostly static) and some higher AM bands between stations. Spent most of that time chanting along, producing interlingual lexemes, and trying to pulsate vibrational frequencies to protect and purify the house. Recorded the whole thing to four track with two microphones hanging down from my dreaming tree. The day saw positive effects of some banishing work I’d been doing recently, so that was nice as well.

2) Bought some “white lightning” of catnip at cost from my store. After letting the resident cat outside on the upstairs porch, I proceeded to seed the back of the property by our gate with the herb, in order to attract feline visitors so that our friend can have some company. He himself is unaffected by the siren song of catnip, but seems like he’d benefit by some new friends of the copious alleycats, which he otherwise doesn’t have access to. By the time I got back inside and upstairs, a small flock of finches had already somehow been drawn by the ultra-potent catnip which I’d seeded on the ground. Which made me whip out the birdseed mojo bag I had around my neck, pouring out a handful and scattering it around on the porch. If the cat gets bored with other cats, maybe he’ll enjoy messing with local birds.

3) Have been drawing mandalas in my notebook, consisting of symbols, expressionist linework, diagramtical images, keywords, I Ching throws, and whatever else I come across. They are visual equivalents to the sort of interlingual lexeme channeling work that I have been doing. Has been useful in getting at the same subject from another physical modality, and they are very reminiscent of the type of artwork I was doing in highschool and college with mashing up words and pictures in complex patterns. I recall reading in Jung’s biography that when he was going through his self-transformative process, he spent many hours painting mandalas, symbols of the unified and whole Self.

4) Recorded another track onto my improvitaping session of me practicing vocals, emoting and characterization. Didn’t go anywhere too amazing, and didn’t break through to the material I was hoping to reach. Did come back later on and record a third concurrent track which featured a mashup of voodoo and West African ritual music overlaid against a Columbia Records vinyl recording of important American documents like the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.

5) Studied my ham radio licensing textbook, which was incredibly frustrating as there’s little to no context in it, though it does contain the actual test question pool from which the licensing tests themselves are composed. Has got me thinking about how to make associative hypertext multimedia documents for memorizing massive sets of information. I think I know more or less how to do it, and am hammering out a methodology based loosely on the classical memory technique of the method of locii and pavlovian conditioning from a post-symbolist framework. Also downloaded tons of amateur radio audio samples, common sounds, numbers stations, instructional podcasts, things of that nature. Which has gotten me excited about messing around with a new podcast of my own maybe tomorrow during the day if the planets align themselves properly to make it so. I may also put together some videos of me talking through the associative mandalas I’ve been drawing as well.

[...] At the time, and shortly after waking up, this message made perfect sense in whatever context it originated. But having piled the day’s experiences and experiments on top of it, I no longer really “get” what the whole thing was about. But that’s how I’ve been using the I Ching in waking life though: using it amplify a particular moment, and then completely letting go of whatever meaning or omens I derived from its use. [...]
[...] My recent outrefreq investigations have taught me a lot of important lessons. One of the big ones is: if you have the proper technology and the accompanying know-how for its proper use, you can do a lot. You can transmit messages and get responses. [...]
