The Human Computer User’s Guide To [PRACTICAL INSANITY]

Have been continuing my experiments with new omnivative multistreaming techniques. And I have found that having the shamanic songs with ritual drumming as a backdrop to be an extremely powerful was to “ground” yourself during this practice, which can necessarily be a very disorienting procedure. Just like in a shamanic ritual or an attempt at synchronistic divination, you’re entering into a mythic space, you’re traversing worlds. In this case, you’re opening more datastreams into your immediate awareness than you’re typically accustomed to doing: unless maybe you work security and are used to scanning lots of moving visual images and audio streams over long periods of time.

Entering this “alternative” nootropic space within a ritual context may be your best bet in learning how to manage, contain and direct these states, which can become quite surreal, collage-y and kaleidoscopic. Doing things like burning sage and other sacred plants, along with incense, candles and a prayerful attitude may be good complementary techniques to add to your arsenal when exploring these completely legal psychedelic states.

Traditional shamanic music is extraordinarily helpful here, I think, because it helps put you (or me anyway) into a mild trance, which you can “ride” on and direct your awareness, without getting pulled down any of the chutes of meaning or possible interpretations (relax positive/negative judgements in this state) of what you find juxtaposed amidst your many datastreams.

And lastly, be mindful of what streams you input into your consciousness. Any energy pattern which you take into your perceptual system necessarily modulates it by causing some part of your mind or being to resonate with that frequency. Garbage in, garbage out! Enjoy!

I will meet the seriously obsessed today, she thought, belatedly starting the meditation she really should have done as soon as she got up. I will meet toms intent on strange interspecies crosscultural activities, an intention mostly meant to distract them from the fact that they’re not having sex right this minute. They will sink the teeth of distraction into my scruff and seek to drag me places I have absolutely no desire to go, being fond of my sanity.

  1. [...] After my late-night experiments with multistreaming video matrices, I spent the entire night dreaming that I was editing a large video project, which I had completed satisfactorily by the time I awoke. One of the dreams I had closest to waking, which was chained into that schema had to do with three small animals which I had “acquired” without actually intending to. They came inside a box with something else, birdseed or bedding or something. While they were packed up in the box, they were tiny and artificial looking, but as soon as I took them out, they began wiggling into life, fleshing out and incorporating into normal size and animated activity.
