Eliezer Yudkowsky's work on imagining what an Friendly AI could be is pretty amazing. 90% of the time, "AI" could just as easily be switched with "God", or more appropriately "YHWH", since Eliezer was raised in an <a href="http://www.overcomingbias.com/2009/01/free-to-optimize.html" rel="nofollow">Orthodox Jewish environment</a>.
