An Introduction to the Philosophical Background of #mandalaOS
Animism, as you may know, is a lifestyle predicated upon the fact that all things, all objects, all forms, all essences, possess a spirit (or a frequency), whether or not they possess a humanoid body as we’re accustomed to operating through as existential entities.
Animism is not a “belief system” so much as it is an application of practial wisdom to situations, a #whatworks methodology, or body of praxis, as Dave Huckleberry points out - which allows the practitioner to tune into and manipulate frequencies, trends and patterns which underly the bands of frequency which the human sensorium typically tends to operate within.
Modern holistic analogues to animism, such as Permaculture, look at living systems as a whole, with interlocking holonic bionomic networks of minute energy, chemical and other transactions, inputs & outputs happening at all levels of scale, instantiating and sustaining multidirectional feedback loops, and communicative pathways. As any given system (cosmOS) gains in complexity, it gains in chaos or unpredictability, and trends towards various emergent behaviors [see also: parthenogenesis, athena-owl].
As computing power increases, the size and shapes of the objects we now know as “computers” will necessarily morph. What we think of as a computer now will eventually become a ritual object with embedded capabilities within a multidimensional experiential ecosystem, seamlessly combining elements of the natural world with the wondrous capabilities of imaginal possibility which seem to be inherent in the human experience.
In a world of ubiquitous computing, of “everyware” - where software is its own hardware and which has no location, and other psifi impossibilities - and which is ambiently intelligent, the basic USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN will necessarily follow certain evolutionary lines upon which the human body as a biological operating system (OS) came into being.
They say, experientially, that the physical-experiential human being as we know it today is roughly the same biological end-product as the EarthOS has been producing for about the past 10,000 give or take. So this means that, as our information usage needs increase due to the increasing technologies within which we enmesh our experiences of life, we’re going to need interfaces, software, hardware, operating systems and entire paradigms of experience to deal with the shift from flat panel on the screen displays, to graphics and sound which seem to come alive all around you, surrounding you, and some day - existing within your head.
Likely, the future is some combination of those things. Technology marches on. But so do Art, Music & Poetry, the eternal applications of SCIENTIFIC LAW to the experiential questions of TRUTH & BEAUTY. I figure the best thing we can do as creative people poised at the End of the Age of Computers, is to make sure that all needs, dreams, desires & goals can be served by whatever paradigm which will hold aloft to power our transition into a new worldview and a new understanding of the expression to what it means to not just be human, but to be aware and alive.
Mandala OS is an attempt to instantiate into reality, through creative collaboration and intent-activation, an universal free open source system of human wisdom and elemental knowledge, one which operates according to the notion that the human body and experiential system (considered as a media format for the transmission of noogenic cymatoglyphs), as it is, has a certain aesthetic beauty, if not sanctity, which deserves to be protected and celebrated. Doesn’t mean that augmentation with tools of the human experiential system is bad, or unnecessary, but rather recognizes the human experience as something distinct worthy of being preserved for its own purposes.
Mandala OS is an operating system for the transhuman and posthuman age, for postcorporatism, distributed identity, collective intelligence and the leveraging of human wisdom systems, when multidimensional intelligences are instantiated into broadband perceivable reality through the works of men & women with more powerful intention-manifestation engines. The notion is something like what was the Democracy Player of the Participatory Culture Foundation, but something that’s like a meeting between a genetic biological energetic signature collectively owned by all members of the human race, and a Universal Declaration of Rights & Frequency Band Allocation sort of consortium constitution: a system of loose organic co-evolving rules governing systems and their interactions. The preservation of sovereign momentities, I’ve called it in the past.
Mandala OS is the name for an ad hoc collaborative creative conversation committee spontaneously formed around the discussion, contemplation and experimentation of this paradigm as a platform for governing the meaning of what it is to be a Human Being specifically, and what it means - more universally - to be a thinking, feeling, perceiving sentient being.
You could the conversational context, perhaps, as a kind of neo-shamanic revival coupled with a superstitious transrational technological animism, occurring at what many people in the Mandala OS demographic perceive as being, emotionally at least, a kind of “End Times” of “End of Time” period, fueled by religious apocalyptic literature the world over, and more immediate modern concerns, with fears of economic collapse and the massive social and economic transitions and transformations which inevitably would occur alongside such turmoil - whatever level it reached in actuality.
Mandala OS, flagship product of OmnivateLLC, therefore is a tool for creating positive futures, simply by dreaming-awake collectively in a state of playful exuberance and seeing what comes of it. Our main product is inspiration. If you’re not feeling how you want to feel and doing what you want to be doing, maybe you need an operating system upgrade. Maybe you need Mandala OS.

I get it.
I get a little nauseous though. Like Future sickness or something reading your posts. I get just enough of it to get a sick dizzy feeling. If missed it all I wouldn’t feel funny. Maybe a soft focus is good.
Couple things: I think there is an anthropic principle to the Universe. I think the human body corresponds to the Earth like a holon. The human aura is a sphere. The spinal axis is like the axis mundi of the Earth. The respective magnetic fields of the Earth and the human body are similar. The polar orientation is the same. Actually we draw maps and arrange globes according to our North Pole orientation.
We anthropomorphize the anthropic.
Anyway, ancient alchemists and seers and people like that measured out the heavens using the human body as standard. That’s what a digit is.
Another approach is the circuits of conscious model, which posits that we have the capability there in our brains all ready for future evolution. We are fully equipped.
So to me its settled, the human body is sacred and holy and not in danger of being rendered obsolete.
But anyway its cool what you are doing. I think you need a labratory/studio and a shit load of grant money.
BTW, a spider kind of tentatively came to me, kind of similar to how your weasel buddies approached you. Except spiders are more cautious. They don’t chew on your leg.
The spider has a human online love interest that doesn’t know he is a spider. He met her on yahoo personals. A bit of a dilemma.
OK- another angle:
So you have the quantum field, where everything is all “dark matter” ; the “prima materia” And there is a shit load of it. And its energy, rich rich energy way more powerful than even nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is like nothing compared to this stuff.
Its just this sea of quantum possibility. So all these alchemists were onto this and needed it to make a philosophers stone.
In those days it was harder for people to get their heads around it. BECAUSE…people were more deeply imbedded in the illusion. Too rigidly following its limitations.
You need cracks. Shamans have cracks in their consciousness.
The internet makes things much faster. You can track the prima materia entering the system as information. SPEED is better. It wants speed. Human evolution is about speed.
So anyway here is a phrase I wrote on my sketch pad yesterday:
“Self organizing holographic life form.”
It can’t just live on the internet though. That is just where it enters from the prima materia. Its a self organizing life form and it doesn’t want to stay ephemeral. It doesn’t want to remain a wave function. because there is the possibility of collapsing back into pure formless possibility.
It wants hard parts to it. It wants to arrange hard dense things according to its pattern.

Ian, I was drawing spheres all day yesterday. I was arranging them in an upwardly increasing fibonacci sequence. With wires connecting them.
Then I arranged them in a spiral and realized what “squared” means. literally a square. It wasn’t a Fibonacci spiral but a squaring spiral. A circle reflects itself, becomes two, reflects itself again and becomes four and goes around and around. Squaring itself in literal square shaped patterns
I kept coming back to first one sphere and then the second sphere. The second sphere begins as a reflection of the first that becomes reified somehow.
I am trying to think of proceses like photography and or nano technology that would make this literally possible.
Basically I am trying to learn math from scratch as if I were a cave man or something. Wrote memorization took all the magic out of Math for me as a kid.
So I am back to counting dots.
This sounds like exactly the right approach to me, learning everything back from the ground up!
I’m glad somebody does. I’m getting there slowly though. It’s sinking in. I think the problem is that I keep reading the posts on my phone while I’m on the bus after work. Maybe I’ll have an epiphany over the weekend. It’s hard to get big ideas on a little screen.

uhm. Wow. I am trying to comprehend this move, but I think what you are trying to do is basically create a wellspring of helpful intent which OmnivateLLC hopes will become the essence of a new type of being? Or something along those lines. This is great stuff, I agree with Ted, it makes me dizzy.
