Search Summary
Okay, so not all of these are examples of radial symmetry, but I just wanted a hook to hang the subject on. The genesis for this exploration comes from that quote I posted last night about aliens using buildspeak technology, where words spoken within the presence of a certain type of field would essentially “build” themselves into reality, as though they were programmatic thinware becoming thickware.
My purpose in posting the current search digest is to describe some kind of universal correlation between the above concept and the creation of sacred symbols, diagrams and ritual spaces: namely, that you can use visual representations - as well as spoken audio - to bring about specific changes in reality, or invoke particular spirits or energies… #mandalaOS
Let’s kick this off with a quote from Aleister Crowley, shall we?

The Ouroboros often represents self-reflexivity or cyclicality, especially in the sense of something constantly re-creating itself, the eternal return, and other things perceived as cycles that begin anew as soon as they endâ€
- “The spiral is the most ancient symbol found on every civilized continent. Due to its appearance at burial sites across the globe, the spiral most likely represented the “life-death-rebirth†cycle. Similarly, the spiral symbolized the sun, as ancient people thought the sun was born each morning, died each night, and was reborn the next morning.â€
