Blustr, a Twitter contact of OmnivateLLC’s (see: Blustr Flickr stream, on Tumblr) who came out of I don’t know where but who has become an interesting and appreciated information ally, put together a proto-logo for Mandala OS – which I actually like a whole lot as a starting concept.

Would it be tacky to make the yin-yang element more apparent? I’m also curious what would happen if we threw a “+” sign at the end of it so it would read a quasi-leetish mOS+ as in like, “Get the Most Out of Your OS” or similar sloganeering. I’m also feeling the classic four-cornered Hindu/Tantra style mandalic shape used somewhere, whether or not its in the main visual identity.
Also: @Brainsturbator sent me this link, which he described as being a description of something like a proto-Mandala OS.
