Tim Boucher on Umbrella Radio, Wed. Feb. 11th, 8PM EST

I’m going to be sitting in on a broadcast session of a nearby (geographically) internet radio station called Umbrella Radio. They serve specifically the local area in Baltimore, what’s known as the Mill Valley area (more specifically Hampden, Medfield, Remington, Hopkins, etc) but since they operate online, they have a world-wide reach. Originally, I was hoping to at least get into their studio and check out the technology they use to broadcast and learn to operate some of it, but it sounds like they’re into having me talk live a bit as well - which would be a lot of fun. The segment is called Armchair Philosophers, and the podcast archive from the last episode reads:

Armchair Philosophers, Wednesdays at 8:00 pm, with Hosts John Erby and Eric Willison, podcast archive 01-15-09. Episode 7 feature the above average ramblings of two average guys. Art, politics, religion, philosophy… nothing scared. May contain adult language.

I’m hoping to also talk a little bit about the Monument City historical project a friend of mine and I are doing, as well as Time Travel Club, the experimental music project we’re working on. But I’ve also got tons of good local lore and interesting tidbits saved up from goofing off so much lately around Hampden and my neck of the woods, so to speak.

If you’re able to listen live, you might also be able to call in live too - though I’m not sure how that works exactly. So we’ll just have to play it by ear. I’ll make sure to make an announcement about it if we can take live calls. Hope to see you there, and if not, download the podcast when it’s available!
