Where To Learn New Skills For Free

An open thread… I want to really build up the conversation around this subject, especially as it relates to Baltimore. Any ideas? Where to start?

Come to think of it, I just remembered a dream I had last night wherein a local ham radio operator found my “activity partner” posting on Craigslist and emailed me about it. Wish that had happened in real life!

This librarian lady in the periodicals room at ENOCH PRATT FREE LIBRARY was super nice and awesome showing us how to use microfilm. Imagine you could walk into any building and someone there was ready and willing to teach you a new skill for free! How much would that fucking RULE? What buildings would you go to?
