I think between "us" and God there are lesser gods, that are kind of the inverse of this. You know, like less plentiful longer living more powerful type humanoids.

I think thats what the legends of the gods shortening our lifespans is about.

Things like bacteria evolve really fast, because generation time is shorter.

We are guinea pigs running various simulations.

In the future, I think we’ll be able to send little itty bitty copies of ourselves, like radio ghosts out across the high seas of smoke and endless datapoints and regional biotechnical meshworks. Invisible messengers to do our bidding, to be our eyes and ears, to collect valuable information for us.

What God does already with us? Sending finite understanders to have finite understanding

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground
Try this trick and spin it, yeah
Your head will collapse
But there's nothing in it
And you'll ask yourself
