Totally crushing it

Yesterday morning, I dreamt of a charm bracelet I bought at a 25 cent machine at the grocery. The one that came out was a bejeweled dollar sign, with a cheap chain that I quickly discovered cuts into the skin. Kept this charm on my doorknob for many months last year before giving it away to a friend. Saw it again briefly the other day and I guess it got into my brain cause I dreamt about it. In the dream, someone was instructing me on the proper use of this magical amulet. Apparently, since it’s a dollar sign, you can use it to actually pay for things. It doesn’t just represent currency, but is itself currency. Then, in the dream, when I used it to pay for things, it would magically reappear, fully replenished. I could use it again and again freely as needed.

I love how overt the message of this dream is. That says to me that my subconscious mind and I are currently in some kind of accord when it comes to the libidinous energy of which money becomes a ready symbol. It turns out that ever since I cut up my credit cards (which I’m still paying off), I have more money than ever. Both in terms of cash (which is all I use nowadays) and in terms of “funny money” from the bank/internet. That and I’m about to enter an environment for the next three months where all my expenses are taken care of, plus a small stipend.

This morning I dreamt of running into some woman, my anima maybe, who took me in and “cleaned me up.” Upon waking, I gave myself the ritual head-shave and also removed my beard. Separating yourself from dead energy, old patterns, shit like that. I’m getting pretty good at the presto-change-o personal identity transformations like that. And at the same time, I feel maybe more like me than ever, more fully-expressed, etc.

Getting close to wrapping up the first phase of the Monument City project. We have almost all of the historical write-ups and digested information packets available for all of Baltimore’s many monuments. And we just made our first cent on the project, which is a nice sign of things to come, as well as picked up another domain name for our research feed. Will be interesting to see whether the main site itself or the research area will get more traffic/income. We’re taking a pretty vigorous approach to getting our data out there on the web, and its paying off enormously. Due to multiple user accounts, domains and what-have-you, there are a slew of monuments now that when you look up details about them on Google, not only are we in the top ten results, but we will have four, five or six placements within the top ten. In other words, we’re totally crushing it.

Dropping a rock in a pond will cause ripples to rise and fade, but the rock’s always there to be picked up again.

Or, to be a little more straightforward, acting from the right place means that that which is shared is never lost.
