Don’t have a ton of time for elaborate posts now that I am up here in Cape Cod. What little web time I have has mostly been spent composing emails and making plans. Before I left though, I started getting into the habit of putting together posts that are based loosely on the methodology of the I Ching, and some of the clustering of attributes that seems to be fundamental to that way of thinking - though whenever I get really deep into the I Ching, I tend to recall that line from John Lennon about not believing in I Ching or Zimmerman, just believing in me, Yoko & me…
Some of the clustered phrasing of the I Ching, as pulled from IChingOnline.net, my site of choice: Byway, Mountain Path, Pebbles, Doorway, Opening, Gateway… I tend to just pluck out words and phrase and images I like, things that seem to spark something for me somehow.
Things pulled from the past couple days, things I’ve seen, noticed, thought of, heard mentioned: the beach, wind, cold, bats, maggots, rats, paintings, stone, wood, lumber, gloves, ice cream. Tools, screws, paint, pathways, carpet, driving a white van, sitting by myself in the dining hall. Gearing up for the season. Thinking a lot about my life, going back over things, coming back to things at a higher level of understanding the second time, much later on. Realizing how much I’ve learned. Being calm and being still, but being a whirlwind of activity, completed focused, completely driven, taking on any task given to me with an almost religious zeal… saw palmetto, fish oil, Dickies work shirt.
Photos I’ve found recently, just a few.
