Dress rehearsal tonight, ran the light board, made my stage debut here as executioner. Yesterday was my twenty-nine and a halfth birthday. This afternoon we started getting our passing clubs down. Pretty soon we’ll have it all worked out. Doubles improving, things are coming together. In the blackout that followed the first act, I had to find my way offstage with an axe and the headsman’s block. Realized I could shuffle my feet until I found the edges of the stairs, physical logic, problem solving. Tomorrow’s opening night. Been in the ocean, something bit my foot. Been eating a lot of seafood, so I guess I’m fair game…
