Punch & Judy, a weird old-school puppet duo, it turns out, is an off-shoot of the Italian improvisational comedia dell’arte. In the Italian tradition, there was another stock figure called Pulcinella who d/evolved over time into the dimunitive stock puppet character of Punch who later became a site typical to English seaside towns where people would go on “holiday” (vacation in American!).

Ever do puppet busking? I just met a guy who did that with his brother. I am thinking of doing it myself.
You should TOTALLY do it! You have to make all your own puppets and equipment though - at least I think… It’s like the Jedi making his own lightsaber.
Anyway, I used to do puppetry with my mom when I was a really little kid, but haven’t messed around with it since though.
I should find a link for this guy. I’ll ask him. He travelled all over the Europe and the US doing it I think.
I could totally make a puppet!
Well, you’d have to make a few, I think. Look up the “professor” in P&J:
