I recently got my technician-class license and would like to get set up with a transceiver and antenna to use in my room at home. I’m not sure where to start and am looking for product suggestions. I’m open to the possibility of some kind of kit that I can build myself out of pre-packaged (ie, included) components and instructions. I’ve been told by a local ham that I can probably get started operating on 2m for around $150, but am not sure what brands to look for. Any advice would be most welcome. Use the contact form if comments are closed. Thanks!
