Leafing through scenic design books lately, especially British theatre, I’ve found a recurrence of the zodiac form, either painted on the floor of a stage or louvered above:

Wasn’t able to reproduce any of these pictures from online image searches, but you get the idea. I believe I also saw this sort of thing painted on the stage at Towson University’s theatre one day when we went to borrow traveler track from them.
Oh wait, here’s a cool image of a Zodiac mandala used in a theatrical setting:

Makes me think of the old Elizabethan circular theatres like the Globe and the Swan, pictured below:

Makes me think of a quote I saw on a billboard, I believe years ago in Baltimore, advertising the symphony. Something about how a good symphony has all of the world in it. Which I think is why we see mandala-symbols like the wheel of the zodiac recur in theatrical design and scenography: because they, in essence, contain aspects of all the energies which make up our world or cosmos.
