WELCOME

@TMBCHR is the online journal of itinerant scholar, Tim Boucher, and focuses on consciousness, technology & creativity. I’m especially interested in technologies and lifestyles related to personal liberation, self-mastery, social cohesion & harmony, and developing successful and sustainable relationships with other species, and other ways of being. The paradigm I’m currently exploring relates to “consciousness as interface, technology as expression” and if you have thoughts of ideas regarding that - particularly practical applications, maybe we should talk.

I communicate with daily and regularly meet interesting people from many fields and walks of life through this website. It is my personal research playground and public storage area for memories. I’ve been doing this for about six years and get about 2.5K people per day on this website - although maybe only a dozen or so ever comment. But I really value the conversations that have developed here and hope that others get as much from them as I continue to. The internet has been a marvelous tool for Self-realization.

I’ve also gotten into the habit of creating, cultivating and liberating “datastreams” things like Twitter profiles and Tumblr accounts as an artistic experiment in open-source identity and human.

You can contact me here, or by typing in “TMBCHR” into a blog post. A Google Alert Angel will send it to my inbox - almost like a bat-signal or the red phone in the White House.

I’m also studying for my amateur radio license!

REVIEWS of @TMBCHR

  1. “Although it could be a merry schizophrenic prank on myself, it’s now fun to think of the possibility that I have made a psychic link with your blog feed, which might actually be a higher compliment than a commentary on your actual writing!”
    - Dalriada
  2. “…Great - if abstract and lengthy… a whole lot of deep stuff about the nature of life and such.”
    - Douglas Rushkoff
  3. “Tim Boucher’s online journal is like Soul-if you have to ask what it is, you don’t have it.”
    - TC
  4. “Tim is like a modern-day Taoist Jack Kerouac. Exploring the very edges of reality by experimenting with his own life, he takes the new world in fascinating directions and it is a true pleasure just watching his mind work. On top of this, Tim adds real value to my life by freely giving away his ideas and embracing a philosophy of continual change and letting go.”
    - Brit Wolfson
  5. “Tim Boucher creates networks, then makes them open source, then walks away. Exponentially more effective than it sounds , humans. #whatworks”
    - new_consumer
  6. “..You seem to take pleasure in insulting me and putting me down for no reason that I can figure. This doesn’t seem very enlightened or elevated behavior on your part. But hey, if it gives you a little ego rush, why not go for it?”
    - Daniel Pinchbeck
  7. “I think I gave you too much credit for being onto stuff. You probably typed most of it high.”
    - Ted Heistman
  8. “I want to point out that none of the people mentioned above ever spoke to me about these events, including the author of Acid Dreams. It would have been easy to ask me personally, as you have done, what really happened during those times.”
    - Joanna Harcourt-Smith
  9. “He doesn’t always make it easy on the reader, but your efforts are worth it.”
    - Cadeveo
