I began this blog in June of 2003 using Blogger, while living in New York City. I was 23 years old, a college drop-out, working random jobs and unsure of my path in life. One thing I knew was that I loved to write and had been an avid researcher ever since I was a kid. I began this website as a creative outlet to explore topics that had always intrigued me: history, philosophy, mythology, culture and the human experience - with a special focus on the fringes, the far-out, the weird, the bizarre.
Closing in on seven years now, this website has become a marvelous tool for self-realization, attracting close to four thousand unique visitors per day (many of whom leave comments, recommend links or exchange emails or end up becoming good friends) and generating enough income off ad revenue to equal a part time job. As I have grown up, so has my writing. With over 7,500 articles, posts and entries of varying lengths, it contains encoded within it a rough guide to my memories. What started as a free-form exploration of the paranormal has undergone many changes, phases, styles and subject matter.
My current focus has to do with the human perceptual system as a kind of theatre. This is only natural, I suppose, as my life path has taken me into the field of professional technical theatre. I am conducting detailed research into traveling performance traditions throughout the world in preparation for a book on the subject. I am also heavily interested in the technologies of human experience - everything from biological systems, to consciousness, psychology and the mnind - and in finding the tools and techniques to perfect the human experience through self-mastery and harmonious relationships with others.

- “…Great… a whole lot of deep stuff about the nature of life and such.”
- Douglas Rushkoff - “Tim is like a modern-day Taoist Jack Kerouac. Exploring the very edges of reality by experimenting with his own life, he takes the new world in fascinating directions and it is a true pleasure just watching his mind work. On top of this, Tim adds real value to my life by freely giving away his ideas and embracing a philosophy of continual change and letting go.”
- Brit Wolfson - “Although it could be a merry schizophrenic prank on myself, it’s now fun to think of the possibility that I have made a psychic link with your blog feed, which might actually be a higher compliment than a commentary on your actual writing!”
- Dalriada - “I think I gave you too much credit for being onto stuff. You probably typed most of it high.”
- Ted Heistman
